This page describes the information used in the CherrySunny food portion journal and the product information services described in the available app brief.

Journal information

When you make a journal entry, you select a food, an amount, a meal, and a date. CherrySunny uses the available product nutrition values and the amount you enter to show nutrition estimates and totals.

Food catalog and online search

CherrySunny includes a starter selection of Open Food Facts products and keeps previously opened labels on the device. You can search those offline rows by name, brand, or barcode.

If you submit an online search, the app requests product information from Open Food Facts using the search you entered. Selecting a name-search result also attempts to retrieve its full barcode label. The portion editor provides a link to the product’s Open Food Facts page.
